Strategies Used to Gather Items Needed:
The easies way to get Protean Crystals is from NM farming and the best way to farm is to conduct an Anemos Train. they way I have always done it is by having 3 macros set up on my hot bar ready for calling out locations to Prep, Pop, and a Pull Timer.
I have shared more about this in the Notorious Monsters section under "Macros".

Elemental Weapon - iLvL 370
Before you can undertake this step in the relic weapon, you must first have reached Elemental level 20, completed all of the Anemos quests, and completed the Anemos iLvL 355 weapon. Make sure that you have the Anemos weapon in your inventory.
Items Required:
Similar to the previous relic step you will need to continue to level and grind for more crystals this time they have changed how you obtain Protean crystals to a Light Grind. Upon reaching level 25 and completing the level 25 quest you will be given a Vitiated Aether Kettle that will automatically store Aether up to 9 charges. You will visit The Forge in Pagos at X:6.1, Y:21.4 to convert your Vitiated Aether into Frosted Protean Crystals. |
NPC Gerolt:
Same as Anemos, all of the quests for the relic upgrades are handled by the NPC Gerolt in the base camp.
X:4.3, Y:25.0

X:4.3, Y:25.0
Strategies Used to Gather Items Needed:
Similar to the last step, the NM train will really help out with getting Pagos Crystals the Vitiated Aether you need but there is also another method to getting the Aether that seems to fill your light more. The actual prep of Copycat Cassie and Louhi will fill your kettle quickly so make sure that you are participating in the prep of NM's. For info on Cassie and Louhi please see Notorious Monsters.

Elemental ACC - iLvL 300
The elemental accessories are prizes from NM's in Pagos and are purely by chance. Some would say that they dont exist but dont be fooled they exist and they make a great deal of difference when you are in eureka. These are used to increase your characters elemental damage based on the item at hand.

Like the zones before it, the main focus of Pyros will also be NM trains but there is also a need to farm mobs, as you will need logograms to get the 30 discovered Eureka Actions for the final relic step. There are multiple NMs in Pyros that drop important items, but only Penthesilea drops the items you need for the weapon . You can find more about NMs that drop rare items in Notorious Monsters.
