HUNT TYPES
B Rank - These spawn 0 - 5 min after kill and you should seek the hunt board for B Rank Elite Mark Bill once per week.
A Rank - These spawn 4 - 6 hours after Killed last
S Rank - These spawn 72+ hours after they were killed last and only when their special spawn conditions have been met.
SS Rank - These are similar to the S ranks but they spawn after and S rank has been killed and the SS ranks special conditions are met (RNG). They will Spawn 4 minions on the map that you must kill to summon the SS rank.
HUNT TRAINS:
Hunt trains are organized hunts that occur when members of the FFXIV community travel the instances of each area and "scout" for A Rank marks in that area. The organizer of the "hunt train" is usually referred to as the conductor. The conductor will ensure people have enough time to get in zone and share the location of each A Rank so that multiple people get credit for killing the mark.
HUNT ETIQUETTE:
There is a large amount of of time and effort that goes into hunts and there in all reality isn't very many hunts per person in FFXIV. there are 65 A ranks per server with server transfer that has given access to many more how ever based on peoples log in time, train frequency and other content that everyone wants to run that means some people are only able to make a few trains a week. We recommend that when on a hunt train that being patient, waiting for everyone to show up to maximize hunts, share your A rank and S ranks as soon as you spot them in your link shells. Helping the community is important aspect of FFXIV and we all can help each other by sharing the best we can. There are multiple hunt designated servers we recommend that you share in one if you are in them.
For those looking to host trains we recommend that you do give it a try and as everyone should be allowed to host! We recommend that if you choose to do so that like previously stated that you share the locations to everyone and take your time on the hunt train.
