Aetheric Shackes Strats:
Pre assign these and set markers for each spot before you pull so that everyone has a spot. Usually you want to ABCD in the middle for the purple chains with A in the Cardinal north spot. 1234 should be out at max melee distance from the boss starting NW or NE. this is important for 2nd shackles. DPS is now paired with a tank or healer based on their colour marker this means that if a tank gets red Dbuff or DPS gets purple they just swap with their partner instead of the raid having to adjust.
|
Mechanic Name |
Information |
Heavy Hand |
Tank buster. This doesn't have a D-Buff so you will not need to swap just use normal mitigation and heal up. |
Aetherial Shackles |
Marks one player with "shackles of Loneliness" (purple chains D-Buff) and another with "Shackles of Companionship." (red chains D-Buff). See next two mech for explanation of buffs. |
Shackles of Lonliness |
Applies the same red colour chains to 3 players that are located furthest away from the person marked with the red chain D-Buff. These will give off large point blank AOE's do not overlap them. |
Shackles of Companionship |
Applies the same purple colour chains to 3 players that are located closest to the person marked with it the purple chain D-Buff. These will give off a smaller point blank AOE's do not overlap them. |
Wanderers Wrath |
Medium/Heavy raid wide, use cooldowns. |
Gaoler's Flail |
The boss during this cast show you 2 of 3 different types of flails so pay attention to what the boss is doing during this cast. One will be a chains with a Reaper Sickle on the end swinging random flank of the boss. Other 2 will be random Dancer Ring one the end of a chain or a Spiked Mace Flail. |
Chain Reaper Sickles |
The boss spins these on random flanks one after another if first one is on his left flank stand to the right wait for the 270 degree flail cleave to go off and move immediately to the left to dodge second 270 degree flail cleave. |
Chain Dancer Ring |
This attack is paired with Spiked Mace Flail and the order is random. This indicates the first flail will be a donut Aoe be inside max melee distance from the boss or you will get cleaved. |
Spiked Mace Flail |
This will be same as Chain Dancer Ring it will be random as to what one is first. Boss will do a point blank AOE on itself be maximum melee distance to avoid being hit. |
Pitiless Flail of Grace |
This will apply a line tank buster to the Main Tank, and will add "True Holy" D-buff to that tank. The True Holy D-Buff causes its bearer to take increased damage for a short period of time so you will want to do a tank swap during this cast. After the line tank buster goes of it targets what ever tank is highest on the agro list with an attack that can be shared so party and that tank stack and tank with True Holy will need to be separated from the party. |
Pitiless Flail of Purgation |
Tank Buster Knocking Main Tank Back in a line from the boss. This will apply a magic resistance D-Buff to the tank so a tank swap is necessary. The new tank will be targeted with a flair and it is a magical proximity damage emanating from the New MT so they need to separate from the party including old MT. |
Intemperance |
The boss splits the room into 9 squares, 8 of the squares have gems in them. Fire gems and ice gems need to be absorbed by a player and the shadow gem only appears in the middle. based on the position of the bosses hand will determine what crystal goes off first. If his had is high then the top gem goes first and low means bottom gem first. The boss will apply a d-buff based on what you were standing in meaning you cant stand in that crystal again. for possible ways to solve see our strategies. |
Shining Cells |
Heavy to Very Heavy Raid Wide, Cool downs necessary, this will also split the room into cells of different colour and add a circular boarder that is detrimental if you touch it. Additional: During this phase the boss will televise a cast based on colour ring above its head this will be paired with mechanics. You must avoid cells of that colour as they will explode with the next mechanic. There will also be one player with a shackles of time D-Buff they will need to be in a different colour square than the rest of the party. The square that player is in will choose what ones will exploid. |
Slam Shut |
Heavy Raid Wide use cooldowns this will end the shining cells phase and arena will return to normal. |
2nd Shackles of time. |
This is similar to the first but now all players will get marked with the d-buff so follow same strat to resolve this mech the only addition is that the mechanic will go off 4 times in a row based on the timers one everyone's d-buff. Usually you can assign players spots with markers based on the colour and timer on their D-Buff to avoid overlapping. |
2nd Intemperance |
Same as before this time paired with a gaoler's flail that will resolve between 2nd and 3rd crystals. |
Forefold Shackles |
Same as shining cells but you will have to resolve the cells that the boss is exploding with aetheric shackles and another shackles of time, again using the same strat from before but standing on the safe cells |
Mr. Happy Gaming
Great tutorial for beginners. The strategies have changes since but can still be done and the information about mechanics is relevant.
